To attain control on one’s mind, there is spiral breathing. It is the simple process of breathing in and out through which one tries to relax his body and attain stability in his mind. Human mind being very dynamic, cannot focus on an idea for long so in order to regain the concentration of mind, spiral breathing is practised.
How To Practise Spiral Breathing?
It is the process of breathing in from one nostril and then breathing out from the other. To start off with, put your thumb on the left nostril, closing it completely, then try inhaling with the right nostril. Inhale as much to fill your lungs completely and then now press the right nostril with your fingers, simultaneously removing your thumb over the left nostril. Try breathing out from this opened left nostril. It is suggested that you make the exhaling process very slow and easy. Go on repeating the process for few minutes until you feel your body somewhat light and energetic.
